[February 2016] Microsoft Dynamics® AX, supported by Azure, has been shipped and is now in “general availability” according to Microsoft. Feedback thus far about AX has been very positive from the technical community.
At the Dynamics Technical Conference 2016, more details have become available about the AX release. During the conference general sessions presented by Microsoft’s AX leaders Dan Brown and Sri Srinivasan, the focus was on business process transformation and how the new Dynamics AX places emphasis on the overall user experience. This includes enhanced integration capabilities that will make work easier no matter the location from which the user is accessing the solution. Improvements are coming not only to AX but Power BI as well, where real time analytical data is the name of the game.
According to Brown, AX can be classified as the following:
– Intelligent user interface
– Proven business logic
– Continuous life to your system
– Business anytime, anywhere
Additional new capabilities have become game changers for data entry, globalization, agility and lifecycle management.
